Kate Bedell is an Irish painter who works in watercolour and mixed media collage. She is a member of the Water Colour Society of Ireland and the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club. Her work represents almost 30 years of painting through varied themes incorporating Still Life, Gardens, Sunflowers and Figurative pieces, and her style
embraces both traditional watercolour techniques and contemporary expressions of the medium. Kate has combined hand-made paper collage to her richly-coloured paintings to add textural dimension to her work. This new approach gives the paintings a semi-abstract quality.
More recently, her work has been influenced by living in India for 7 years where
she worked on a series of paintings of Indian Women. Her work is vibrant, impressionistic and intuitive
